This class is for: Those wanting to refine their skills and increase their understanding of what it takes to create a safe useful horse. Anyone wishing to increase his or her knowledge of the details that are essential to understand in order to have a horse that is non-resistant, content, and safe to be around and ride. Those preparing the young horse to be ridden. Those working through problems of behavior or balance with their horse. People with issues, such as fear, anxiety, or a lack of confidence. This class is for: Inexperienced riders or riders dealing with fears. Those with green or young horses. (Must be comfortable riding the horse in a group at a walk and trot). Those who wish to increase their understanding of how to rid the horse of resistances and create soft willing partners with their horses. Those who wish to increase their knowledge of how to build or re-build a sound foundation in their horse. See what this class will offer you and your horse

Refined Horsemanship

This class is for: Those interested in learning the intricacies and details involved in creating a quality riding horse for any discipline. Those who feel they are ready to take their horses, or are currently working on exercises and maneuvers, beyond the elementary work. Those who may be encountering difficulties in some part of the more advanced work. Those who may want to understand more, or find different approaches to obtaining some of the more advanced maneuvers. See what this class will offer you and your horse

One on One Sessions these sessions are offered at horsemanship schools away from the CC Ranch

Who the One on One Sessions are for: Anyone wishing to have a private lesson with Clay to work on a specific issue. Anyone wanting Clay to work with his or her horse individually. Anyone who has a serious--or not so serious problem with his or her horse. Anyone wanting an evaluation of where their horse is at, and what it will require to either solve a problem or improve their communication skills. See who is eligible and how you and your horse can benefit

Understanding How to Work Through the Horse's Back

This class is for: Those interested in learning the intricacies and details involved in creating a quality riding horse for any discipline. Lunging and In-Hand Work--Groundwork

This class is for: Young horses being prepared to ride. Horses that are stiff and/or resistant. Those who wish to learn how to bring the horse on the aids by educating, preparing, and strengthening the horse before mounting. Those who wish to learn the lateral moves before being mounted. Horses ready for more refinement and collection. See what this class will offer you and your horse

The Lateral Movements--Shoulder In, Haunches In, Half-Pass

This class is for: Horses and riders who understand and can perform the basics of elementary schooling: Can walk, trot, and canter the horse in the working gaits. Can perform correct halts, and rein-back. Can perform correct change of rein through serpentines and figure eights. Those who wish to reach a higher level of horsemanship and have a horse that is not just useful, but one that can  accomplish the job at hand with ease, grace, and enjoyment.
